Choose the Best Platform for Connecting with Your Audience
Now, you may be asking, “So, Chris, how do I choose the best platform?”
My short advice is to pick a platform and stick with it.
My long advice is if you are a professional targeting other professionals you should be visible on LinkedIn. If you want to connect with entrepreneurs and small businesses, you should use Facebook and LinkedIn groups. If your brand is visual, you definitely should use Instagram or Pinterest.
I started my personal brand when I decided to write a book. I wanted a platform on which I could provide value to my target audience, which at the time consisted mainly of sales professionals and consultants. So, in addition to being active on LinkedIn, I started a podcast called It’s Time to Sell. The moment I started that podcast was one of the pivotal moments of my entrepreneurial journey.
I shared my story of that moment in the video below:
Which platform do you think is best for you?
Do you write well? Start a blog.
Does your personality shine through in person? Publish videos on some routine schedule.
You do not have to start a podcast, but if you decide to at some point don't hesitate to comment below. I would be glad to help.
