How to Use beBee for Personal Branding
"Your brand is more than just your resume."\
A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned that I love Instagram because it allows me to share various aspects of my life through a feature called Stories.
Last week, on my podcast, John White and I talked about another social media platform that gives you an opportunity to represent your entire personal brand. It’s called beBee. Here’s a short video of John talking about the advantages of using beBee, over other platforms, for personal branding and how beBee is winning in terms of organic reach.
Four Reasons to Use beBee for Personal Branding
- Embrace affinity networking. beBee is the first platform to fully embrace affinity networking. You can network based on your personal interests and hobbies (cooking, art, music, etc.), as well as your business interests (sales, marketing, engineering, etc.).
- Show your entire brand. Other platforms enable you to represent portions of your personal brand, but beBee is the only platform that enables you to showcase your entire brand—you and your interests—and use that brand for your networking. Instagram and Facebook are geared toward personal relationships, and some users don’t want to read any business-related content on those platforms. LinkedIn, on the other hand, seems much more work than play, giving you little room to share your personal interests. On beBee, if one of your passions is cooking but you’re also an economist, you can use the Live Buzz feature to write stories about economics and post recipes and share both of those types of content with relevant hives, which are composed of members of your network.
- Reach your target audience, from day one. You don’t have to have a huge following. If you write about start-up companies and how to grow them, you can have a hive where you can share those stories with people who’ve indicated they’re interested in that topic. No matter what your blog post or video topic is, you have an audience on beBee. And that’s true from day one.
- Maximize your organic reach. From a content creator’s vantage point, no platform is as good as beBee for organic reach. Algorithms have taken over all of the major networking platforms. That can be a good thing if you can crack the code occasionally, but if you’re like most people your post will be distributed to only a portion of your network. Try sharing a YouTube video on Facebook, and see what Facebook’s algorithm does. In contrast, beBee is an even playing field. It treats a YouTube video the same as a video that you create natively on beBee. Its algorithm is based on users’ interactions. From a content creator’s vantage point, there is not a platform that’s quite like beBee with the organic reach that you can get.
